Security

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information in order to do their jobs. We have physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that protect personal information about you.

In addition, Knitters Niche uses a Digital Certificate to keep your information safe. What is a digital certificate? A digital certificate uses encryption to secure information traveling between our web site and the web servers on the Internet. When collecting information from a customer, such as name, address, or credit card number, a legitimate website needs a digital certificate to ensure the information is secure as possible. Digital certificates also provide authentication of our website and domain name owner. Visitors to our site can rest assured that they are conducting legitimate, secure transactions.

How do you know if a site is secure? For one, you can look at the web address itself. Most pages begin with “http”. A secure site will begin with “https” – s for “secure”. Another way is to look on your browser. Most browsers (including Internet Explorer and Netscape) have a small picture of a padlock in the lower right corner of the screen. Most of the time, it remains unlocked. A secure site will display the padlock in a locked position. In addition, if you click the locked padlock, you will see information verifying the security of the website.

If you do not feel comfortable communicating over the internet, please call us or contact us through US mail. Contact information is at the bottom of this privacy policy.

Opting Out
Knitters Niche will only send out mass emails to customers from whom we have received a request for our newsletters. We strongly support anti-spam ideas and laws and overwhelm our customers with unsolicited email. Remember: Information you provide Knitters Niche is by your choice. Knitters Niche will never solicit personal information via email and asks all internet users to refrain from responding to any such email claiming to be from Knitters Niche or any such unsolicited email from anyone. Email from Knitters Niche will only be for the purpose to inform our list of email recipients of new products, offerings or catalogs. A response from you will never be required unless you are asking to be removed from our list.
